On 19th March, Thursday, Students’ Alumni Cell, IIT

platform for the undergraduate students to interact with the soon-to-be alumni
and hear from them their own success stories. The event was also a springboard
for the launch of Student- Alumni Mentorship Programme which assigns alumni mentors
to students. Atal Ashutosh Agarwal, Finance Head of the Student's Alumni Cell

Interference Of Light Waves: Young's Double Slit Experiment
Fundamental Concept
Light and other Electromagnetic Waves have dual character, i.e. they show properties of both matter and waves. Young's Double Slit Experiment is a proof of the Wave Nature of Light while The Photoelectric Effect proves the partical Nature of Light.
The basic logic as I understand it is that, when particles meet at a point, they collide. When two waves meet at a point they interfere. It is like drawing two graphs on the same graph paper and then getting the resultant.
If two waves interfere at a point, then there Amplitudes are related as :
Anet = A1 + A2

NSS Camp : 2014
Hello Everyone. It's been a long time. I'll be blogging regularly from now on. All my exams are over and I'm finally back home!
If you've never lived in a hostel before, trust me, there will come a day when you'll actually be dying to eat the food your mom cooks everyday. You'll actually prefer it over Pizza Hut and CCD. And if you think I'm lying or exaggerating, ask someone who is living in a hostel presently.

Enthalpy, Entropy and Free Energy
Once you know how to calculate various Thermodynamic quantities involved in a reaction, the next thing you need to determine is whether the reaction is feasible or not. Will it occur as you imagine it or will nothing happen. How to determine it is what we will be covering in this post.
The basics that you need to know are :
- Knowledge of First Law of Thermodynamics
- How to calculate ΔQ, ΔW and ΔU for various processes.
- Concept of Cp and Cv
